In the era of AI, how can we design intelligent models that not only learn from human programmers but also enhance human learning? This talk explores the intersection of human cognition and machine intelligence in programming, focusing on two key directions:
|
|
|
(1) leveraging cognitive measures and modeling techniques to understand how programmers think, reason, and solve problems—informing and guiding the design of human-like AI models for programming, and (2) examining how humans and AI can collaborate to support learning in programming, ensuring that our cognitive abilities continue to grow rather than decline in an AI-driven world.

Exploring AI Literacy for Everyone |

What should artists, scientists, writers, teachers, and all of us across campus know about AI, and how should we learn and teach it?
Celebrate National AI Literacy Day with us on March 28th, from 11-1 in Wyatt Room 223! We will have speakers who will share their perspectives on what "AI literacy" means in their discipline, breakout discussions, collaborative poster-making, and pizza lunch.
This event is open to all of the Vanderbilt community, but we do ask that you RSVP so we can order enough food.

LIVE Summer Discovery Program |

The LIVE Summer Discovery program is designed to help undergraduate and master's students excel in learning technology innovation research projects over the summer. The program will offer weekly technical skills seminars, professional development activities and research check-ins to help students build expertise and make meaningful progress on their research.

The program will run from Monday, June 2, to Friday, August 1, this summer. More details will be shared soon. For any questions, please email live@vanderbilt.edu.
