END OF YEAR LUNCH ACCOUNT INFORMATION
The last day for lunch for 8th graders will be Wednesday, May 15, with all other students having their last hot lunch day on Thursday, May 16.
This message will provide information on finishing up the school year with all student accounts in good standing as well as highlight lunch pricing for next year.
If 8th graders or students at other grade levels who are not returning to SVdP
next year finish the year with a lunch account deficit, any excess funds in siblings’ accounts will be transferred to correct the deficit. If that isn’t possible or a deficit remains, emails and/or printed notices will be provided on May 15 regarding what is owed by 8th graders.
If PK-7th students finish the year with lunch account deficits, transfers from siblings’ accounts, if possible, will be attempted. Again, if that isn’t possible, email notices will be provided on May 17 regarding what is owed by PK-7th students, with printed notices sent home with kids as needed on May 20 and 22.
Note that page 26 of the Family Handbook states: Students with a negative account balance at the end of the school year will have their report cards held back.
If 8th graders or students at other grade levels who are not returning to SVdP next year finish the year with a positive lunch account balance, those balances will be transferred to returning siblings. If there are no siblings to transfer funds to, families may request a refund of the balance.
Because automatic low balance payments set up by some families in eFunds for Schools may be triggered by transferring or refunding account balances, those automatic or pre-authorized payment settings will be disabled beginning May 14 and continuing through August 12.
Balances for all students returning to SVdP next year will automatically be rolled over for use during the 2024-2025 school year.
Parents can view current account balance information for all students by logging into parent PowerSchool accounts.
