| Election Day Is in Three Weeks! |
People experiencing homelessness have been disempowered in many ways, including at the ballot box. In our roles as service providers and advocates, it is not only legal but encouraged for us to encourage disenfranchised groups to vote!
Discussion Will Explore Strategies for Overcoming Barriers to Voting |
On Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. CDT, members of the Ellen Dailey Advocacy Committee (a part of the National Consumer Advisory Board), will lead a discussion inviting personal stories from people with lived expertise of homelessness regarding the barriers they faced when trying to vote, and strategies for overcoming those barriers.
