We’re less than one week out from the Inauguration of Dr. Manya Whitaker, 15th President of Colorado College! We hope to see you Saturday, Nov. 8, for this historic celebration bringing together students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and families, and friends of CC. Please review the details below to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. 

Event Schedule 

  • Community Breakfast and Block Talks: 8:30 a.m. (doors open 8 a.m.) 
    Ed Robson Arena 
  • Inauguration Ceremony: 11 a.m. (doors open 10 a.m.; tickets required)  
    Celeste Theatre, Cornerstone Arts Center
    Community livestream viewing (no tickets required): Screening Room, Cornerstone Arts Center 
  • Reception: Immediately following the ceremony 
    Ed Robson Arena 

Ticket Pickup 

If you are attending the inauguration ceremony as a ticketed guest, your tickets will be available for pickup at the first event you attend: 

  • If you RSVP’d for breakfast and Block Talks, pick up your ticket at Ed Robson Arena.
  • If you RSVP’d for the ceremony only, pick up your ticket at Cornerstone Arts Center. 

Note: Ticketed guests will have a reserved seat in Celeste Theatre—so feel free to enjoy Block Talks without the rush! 

Parking & Traffic Advisory 

The Colorado Springs Veterans Day Parade is also scheduled for Saturday morning, with heavy traffic and road closures on Tejon St. beginning at 9 a.m. 

Parking options: 

  • Ed Robson Arena Garage: Enter from Nevada Avenue onto the Dale Street entrance to avoid closures.
  • Faculty, staff, and students with CC parking permits may also park in their designated areas.

Clear Bag Policy 

Please note that for all events in Ed Robson Arena and Cornerstone Arts Center, any bag larger than 4.5” x 6.5” must be clear. View the full policy here. 

Accessibility 

  • Accessible parking is available in the Ed Robson Arena garage.
  • All events in Ed Robson Arena are stair-free.
  • Cornerstone Arts Center has elevators at the main space level (northwest and east entrances) or a ramp entrance at the southwest entrance that leads directly to the mezzanine level of Celeste Theatre.
  • Block Talks will be live captioned on the jumbotron at Ed Robson Arena. 
  • Live captioning for the inauguration ceremony will be available on personal mobile devices (a QR code with the access link will be displayed in Cornerstone).
