Arron Foster's In_A_Sense |
Of his work for this exhibition Arron Foster states, “Through this work, I hope to create a dialogue between myself and the viewer that provides an opportunity for the shared exploration and interpretation of places. I believe that by developing a shared understanding of the physical world, we can encourage empathy for the spaces we occupy and perhaps promote a greater sense of stewardship and care.”
Currently Foster is an Assistant Professor of Art at Kent State University at Stark. He received his BFA in Printmaking and Art Education from East Carolina University, and his MFA in Printmaking and Book Arts from the University of Georgia. His prints and installations have been in notable exhibitions at respected national and international galleries, museums, and art centers.

Emerging Artist, Aislinn Janek's Landscape as a Form of Knowledge
Emerging artist, Aislinn Janek is a New York City-based artist whose interdisciplinary practice explores the material language of painting, sewing, and memory. She has exhibited internationally, with recent solo exhibitions in Ashiya, Japan and in 2026, will present solo exhibitions in Tokyo and in Kobe. Janek has had residencies in France, Czechia and Japan. She holds a BA in Communication Studies with minors in Fine Art and Psychology from Youngstown State University.
Janek describes her work in Landscape as a Form of Knowledge declaring, “This exhibition explores how the physical world becomes a repository of human perception and meaning. Through layered surfaces, stitched interruptions, and printed residues of place, it considers landscape not as neutral ground but as a site where memory, language, and history are inscribed and fragmented."

Michael Boyd Roman's Negus Weighting on a Miracle |
Michael Boyd Roman relates that the artwork presented in Negus Weighting on a Miracle “...portrays the ordinary grace of contemporary Black men by blending elements from hip-hop and urban culture with art history and religious iconography....The figures in my work do not allude to wealth or station in life, allowing body language and facial expressions to establish meaningful connection with the viewer.”
Originally from Atlanta, GA, Roman currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Design & Black Visual Cultures at Oberlin College & Conservatory. He has worked as an K-12 art educator and was the Visual Arts Program Director at Morehouse College. He has an MFA from California State University, Northridge , an MA from Maryland Institute and a BFA from Syracuse University.

Justin Sorensen's June 13th |
Justin Sorensen’s June 13th is "an exhibition of work drawing from the format of the Chinese handscroll. While the pictorial logic of the west has traditionally maintained a fixed perspective, the handscroll subverts this tendency.... The viewer’s perspective unfolds as the scroll is unfurled, allowing the composition to be discovered as you move through the image. The pieces on display…emphasize this aspect of the handscroll, while considering how recent technological developments shape our understanding of the world."
Sorensen is an Ohio-based artist who works across multiple mediums and visual traditions. He received a BFA from Kutztown University and an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. His work has been featured in exhibitions both nationally and internationally from New York to Washington DC and from Russia to Canada.
