Inside CC’s Endowment: How Our Future Is Funded

Join Lori Seager, Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, for an informative session about our College endowment, one of our most important financial assets. This presentation, taking place Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2-3 p.m. in Bemis Great Hall, will demystify how endowments function and explore the critical role ours plays in supporting our academic mission and campus life.

We will explore how endowment funds are invested and managed, the difference between restricted and unrestricted gifts, and how spending policies ensure long-term sustainability while providing meaningful support today. Discover how endowment income helps fund everything from student scholarships and faculty positions to campus improvements and academic programs.

This session is perfect for anyone in the CC campus community who wants to better understand institutional finances, or is interested in learning how endowment stewardship helps secure our College's future. You'll gain insight into investment strategies and how we balance current needs with preserving resources for generations to come.
