Missing Person Investigation and Alerts Training 2025

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Missing Person Unit (MPU) will provide an in person training for officers and investigators. This training will be held in three locations, please see link below to register. This training will benefit commissioned law enforcement personnel who are responsible for investigating missing person crimes at their department/agency. The training topics will include the history of missing child alerts both nationally and statewide, criteria for each alert, agency responsibilities, resources, case studies and a table top exercise.
