Boy Scout Opportunity

Calling all current 5th and 6th-grade Nashville boys looking for adventure!

Please join us Sunday, May 3rd, from 4:30-5:30 PM at the Troop 31 Scout House behind St. George Episcopal Church for an Open House to learn more about the mission and successes of Scouting America's Troop 31.  Troop 31 is one of the oldest, largest, and most successful Boy Scout Troops in Middle Tennessee, and we are especially proud that we have one of the highest rates of Eagle attainment. The troop is focused on teaching outdoor skills, personal responsibility, camaraderie, and leadership. In the last two years, the troop has taken trips backpacking, white-water rafting, river canoeing, horseback riding, camping, hiking, and snow skiing. Locations include Mt. LeConte lodge in the Smokies, Shiloh National Monument battlefield, the Cumberland Plateau, and Sugar Mountain, NC. Older Scouts have gone on High Adventure trips to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and Sea Base in the Florida Keys.

Come to the Open House on May 3rd to learn how Troop 31 and Scouting can benefit your son's growth and character.

If you can't join us on the 3rd, please reach out to:

Josh Billings at 615-775-3460 frederic.t.billings@vumc.org or

Matt Gardner at 615-438-8810 mattgardner@imagine1co.com for additional information.
