Mission Opportunities
Many of us have been touched by the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. My friends in Morganton, NC, have lost homes and businesses. The Montreat Conference Center is near and dear to many Presbyterians and has suffered greatly.

Westminster has sent financial aid to Montreat.  We are sending money to be distributed in eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina.

You may feel the need to contribute directly to areas that are close to your heart.  If you would like Westminster to disperse the funds, please make out your checks to Westminster and write on the memo line-“Disaster Relief.”  The recovery will take years.  As in years past, we hope to use our wealth and skills to help shine the light of Christ.

Peace, Donovan

Collecting Underwear for Kids Who Need Support
During October, we will be collecting new underwear for boys and girls. Please bring in sizes girls 4 - 16 and boys 4 - 20. We will have bins around to collect them. This collection will help support various families who just need a hand. Thank you for contributing.

Room In The Inn
Begins November 13

There is a distinct feel of fall in the air and very cold weather is around the corner. We are excited and solemn about the Room Inn The Inn fall/winter feeding and sheltering program at Westminster – excited because serving together is uplifting and solemn because serving in this ministry can be outside the comfort zone of some of our members yet engaging more members in this ministry is an important opportunity where the impact can span generations.
Room In The Inn resumes at Westminster November 13, 2024 with many opportunities for engagement for singles, families, or small groups Wednesday nights through March 26, 2025. We have many great opportunities to spend time with Westminster friends and 14 homeless male neighbors.

Like hands and gloves, music and poetry complement and keep each other warm. The program On Humans Being uniquely trades on this good fortune, combining poetry by Audrey Campbell with truly beautiful music played by Jane Kirchner on flute and piccolo and Betty Polk on piano and piccolo. You won't want to miss this one-of-a-kind experience.  Come enjoy their brief charming and thought-provoking presentation.
Please make lunch reservations with Sherri Givens. Cost $10.
