Barcelona Highlights
April 25-April 27
Arrive in SYA’s first home city, where new adventures await. Start with a Gaudi-inspired experience before we raise our glasses to the beginning of SYA’s spectacular 60th celebration. After a relaxed morning, dive into a sensory market tour or explore Barcelona's architecture like never before. While reunion classes toast to their own milestones, guests will experience nighttime in Barcelona. Finish your visit with optional excursions before heading to Zaragoza.

Zaragoza Highlights
April 27-April 30
Step back into student life with immersive fieldwork led by current students. Enjoy a vibrant welcome reception at El Cachirulo. You will head back to school and participate in master classes followed by unforgettable culinary experiences and the grand celebration of 60 years — an evening not to be missed. The journey ends with two experiential trips exploring the heritage of Aragón.

By the Decades: SYA in the 70s

The 1970s saw the rise of disco and classic rock; blockbuster films and tech innovations; the oil crisis and the first Earth Day. Politically, in the U.S., it spanned Watergate and the end of the Vietnam War. Spain saw the end of the Francoist regime. France saw a rise of socialist policies.The decade was also pivotal for social movements, with advances in women’s and LGBTQ+ rights. These shifts in politics, culture, and technology shaped future generations,
including SYA’s inaugural coeducational class.
