Freedom of expression at Sac State: Time, Place and Manner info. sessions
The CSU Chancellor’s Office established an Interim Systemwide Time, Place and Manner Policy (TPM), outlining rules for when and where expression is allowed on campus. Expression and assembly rights must comply with all relevant laws and University policies. Our Campus Activities Response Team assists the campus community with support related to these policies. Join us for an information session on Thursday, Sept. 18, from noon-1 p.m. or Monday, Oct. 6, from 6-7 p.m. Location provided upon registration. Learn more. Cultural Academic Resource Centers – Important updates on new locations
In support of our effort to foster more inclusive and culturally affirming environments, Student Affairs is excited to announce updates and relocations of several of Sac State’s Cultural Academic Resource Centers (CARCs). Hornet football: Tailgating this weekend? Know Before You Go!
Alcohol and drug abuse affect everyone. It is important to be aware of the on football game days. Tailgate activities may begin no more than four hours pre-game and must end no later than 30 minutes prior to kickoff. This policy will be strictly enforced! Your , so Know Before You Go what is prohibited during tailgating. Let’s protect ourselves and the Sac State campus collectively on game day!

The 20o2 at the University Union (UU) is your creative escape for self-care and fun! We're located on the second floor. Drop in Mondays-Thursdays between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. All events are FREE and open to current Sac State students. Use the Union WELL Connect App to check in. Training for Recreational Therapy Volunteering at The WELL
The WELL is offering two trainings for students interested in volunteering for recreational therapy programs. The trainings are on Friday, Sept. 12, and Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m.-noon. Prepare for Therapeutic Horticulture, Unified Sports, and Adaptive Sports while learning inclusive practices, program structure, and adaptive equipment. Questions can be emailed or you may register for a training online.

Super Smash Bros. tournament in the University Union Games Room

Workshop series: Foundational Computational & Data Science Skills
Calling all researchers! The UC Carpentries series is open to grad students looking to build and improve data skills. Topics include Tidy Data, OpenRefine, Unix/Command Line, Git, SQL, Python, R. This FREE hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Students are invited to attend a tea gathering in the Sokiku Nakatani Tea Room. Built around the time-honored art form of Chado, the Way of Tea, the tea room provides a unique opportunity for students to study Japanese aesthetics and traditional arts. Tea gatherings include a brief lecture and demonstration and end with a bowl of tea, for those who wish to partake. Free Screening: A Right to Exist - Women, Homelessness & Survival
Join the School of Social Work for a free screening of A Right to Exist: Inside Camp Resolution and the Housing Crisis on Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 6-8 p.m. in the University Union Hinde Auditorium.
