April is National Safe Digging Month
Also in April is National Arbor Day. So if you're planning to plant a tree this month — or do any other project involving digging — call 811 in advance to have underground utility lines marked. The affected local utilities will send a locator to your property, free of charge. Then you'll know what's below and be able to dig safely. Want Off Their List The National Do Not Call Registry enables you to stop many unwanted sales calls by registering your home and/or mobile phone number. Call 1-888-382-1222 from the phone you want to register or visit donotcall.gov. Registrations do not expire. Keep in mind that some types of organizations are still allowed to call you — including charities, political groups, debt collectors, and survey companies. |
