NEW INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT

Trinity Kaiser

We're so happy to welcome our new Yoga Instructor, Trinity, to the team at Active Wellness Center Napa! Trinity started teaching Group Exercise classes because she fell in love with the way working out made her days filled with so much more positivity. “Group exercise is a way to stay fit while being around a loving and supportive community at the same time,” she says.

Trinity loves teaching because of her passion for helping others. “My class experience is all about having fun and feeling your body through the music and movements practiced. What makes my classes unique is I play deep house music that sets the tone for energy radiating throughout your practice and gives the flow and upbeat style. I also focus a lot on adjustments during the practice for a deeper stretch and a nice Shavasana massage at the end of class.”

As an instructor, she enjoys teaching a variety of types of yoga. Her passion is teaching flow style classes because of the power that breathwork and upbeat music have on the energy and overall feel of the class.

“I'm currently working on improving as an instructor by broadening my horizons from just teaching yoga. I’m currently learning to be a barre, pump, and CrossFit instructor. I have a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Health Sciences, so I am constantly learning new ways to help support and nurture the body through anatomy, health, and physical support.”

You can take a class with Trinity on Tuesday at 9:15am for Beyond Basics Yoga or at 10:30am for Chair Yoga.

WHAT IS ROCK STEADY BOXING?
Rock Steady Boxing is an international, non-contact boxing inspired fitness program for people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Medical experts credit this type of exercise program, forced and intense exercise, with the ability to reduce, delay and even relieve many of the symptoms experienced by people with Parkinson’s disease.

The goal of Rock Steady Boxing is to be an embracing and welcoming community that empowers and supports people with Parkinson’s through exercise and camaraderie.

IN MEMORY OF STEVE HAMILTON

If there was a theme, Steve would show up for it all decked out. If there was music playing, Steve would be on his feet and dancing along. Music definitely moved him. Even though Parkinson's began to take its toll, Steve's love and talent for music never left him.

Last Christmas, Steve treated all his fellow Boxers to an amazing evening of beautiful piano playing and Christmas caroling. It was a night to remember.

Steve's fellow Boxers loved his quick smile. His commitment to his Rock Steady Boxing classes were an inspiration to everyone. No matter how he may have felt that day, he would come and give it his all. And, we can't forget Steve's favorite fuel before class....hot dogs and a strawberry shake!

Steve - your Rock Steady Boxing Crew will keep on boxing, dancing, singing and keeping up the fight.
