Check-List

Step 1: Create your PSU computing account
You need to create your PSU computing account, also called your ODIN account.  Have your PSU ID number ready and get started via PSU ODIN activation page!

Step 2: Register for International Student Orientation (Non-Academic)
Register for International Student Orientation.  After registration, you will hear from an international student mentor who will personally welcome you via email.  Please ask them any PSU student life questions.  *If you cannot access the Google form, please contact intl-newstudents@pdx.edu.
Step 3: Confirm your Measles Vaccination
You must submit Measles Vaccine Requirement Form in order to register for classes.  For more information, please read the University Vaccination Requirement or email vaccines@pdx.edu.

Step 4: Check for any Holds on your PSU Student Account
Registration holds are placed on student accounts for a variety of reasons: missing admissions data, missing financial documents, missing transfer information, and others.  Information about holds and how to clear them is available at MyPSU.

Step 5: Register for Winter 2026 Courses
Check your registration start date through the PSU Academic Calender.
Learn how to register for classes through the PSU Registration Hub Tutorials page.  If you need assistance with selecting classes, please contact your academic or faculty advisor soon.  You can find the contact information through the list of Academic Programs.

We highly recommend that you register for classes before attending Winter 2026 International Student Orientation.

Please review our website for new international student enrollment requirements and in-person courses.

Step 6: Prepare to Arrive
As an international student with an F-1 or J-1 visa, immigration regulations allow you to arrive no more than 30 days before the start date listed on your I-20 or DS-2019.  Check out our webpage about travel information for new students.  Read PSU Health Insurance and Housing Information and contact us for any questions.  If you're traveling within the U.S., visit our website to learn about how to get to PSU from the airport.
