CFMT Discretionary Grant Application
The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee's annual discretionary grant is now accepting applications. The deadline to apply is Friday, August 6 at 7 p.m.

Please read the guidelines and eligibility requirements before applying, and reach out to grants@cfmt.org with any questions. Our team is happy to discuss your ideas for a proposal, and even read drafts of your application and work plan upon request. 

As a reminder, the application was moved over to a new software platform this year. All applicants — both new and returning — will need to register as a new user when starting the application process.  Login info and grants from previous years will not carry over to the new platform.

Some eligbility requirements to note:
  • The purpose of this grant is to support programs in Middle Tennessee
  • Organizations that are under two years old and have a budget of $50,000 or less are not eligible to apply
  • The maximum ask is $12,500. However, the average grant amount is between $4,000 - $6,000
APPLY NOW
Applicants are also required to have a complete, up-to-date GivingMatters.com profile. Please make sure your profile is current by the August 6 deadline. Here are some examples of information you'll want to be sure to update:
  • Make sure the program mentioned in your grant application is listed on your profile under Programs
  • Upload the budget for your current fiscal year if you haven't already
  • Make sure your Charitable Solicitations Permit is current. If your renewal is processing or you received an extension on this document, please contact your Coach.
