Sure, asset managers and large institutions dominate the American stock market. But the power of retail investors is on the rise, and publicly traded corporations are starting to take notice. Join our forum, The Investor Generation: Expanding Access to the Stock Market through Financial Education and Emerging Technology, to learn more about the dual nature of retail shareholders as investors and human beings and consider ways to increase your engagement with the corporate sector. The event will have two panels featuring industry insiders, corporate law scholars, and a Vice Chancellor from the Delaware Court of Chancery. The first panel will look at technology breaking down barriers to investing and the regulatory response, and financial education as a form of regulation. The second panel will focus on shareholder participation in corporate governance and going beyond shareholder proposals, meetings, and voting.
