"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'"
- Dr. Martin Luther King
Join thousands of hearts and hands around the country as we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King by serving our communities during the MLK Days of Service. Many local organizations are looking for volunteers like you! While MLK Day is observed annually on the third Monday in January, thousands of your friends and neighbors will be serving their communities in the week surrounding January 20. So, even if you're not available on January 20, you can still be involved in this important community celebration of service! Check out the links below to find a time and place to get involved!
Then, be sure to join the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis for free admission on Monday, January 20. The NCRM has a full day of activities planned, including live music, a canned food drive (benefitting the MidSouth Food Bank), and a blood drive. Those who donate blood at the drive will be given a free T-shirt (while supplies last) and a "front of the line" pass to the museum.
