Shelterwood by Lisa Wingate
Presenter: Beth O'Shea

Shelterwood is a book with two distinctive stories that are separated in time, yet have history and issues in common. In the 1990s, a park ranger in Oklahoma meets a precocious and spirited girl in a foster home where she is too easily overlooked. At the earlier end of the century, a girl runs away from an abusive stepfather, bringing with her a Choctaw girl her father adopted. These two stories will intersect, showing how some of the past problems have not been solved at all.

Starts March 27
Thursday Morning Theology Group
Dogmatics in Outline

The Thursday Morning Theology Group is starting a new book on March 27th. We will be reading through Karl Barth’s Dogmatics in Outline. Karl Barth was a Swiss Reformed theologian and one of the most influential theologians of the 20th century. This will be a great class for folks interested in learning more about Christian theology and the Reformed tradition in particular.
All are welcome!
Contact Will Wellman if you have any questions.

April 4, 5
NaCoMe All-Church Weekend

Join us for a fun-filled weekend that includes a duck race, good food, dancing, a campfire, and s’mores. Jump in the creek, talk to new and old friends, and join us for worship on Sunday.

NaCoMe Camp is a Presbyterian Camp just west of Nashville about an hour and a half. We go on Saturday and come back Sunday.

Sign up for the day or spend the night. In the cabins, families have a room with several beds and their own bathroom. It is a great way to get to know other families in the church.

We have a blast.
