To Our Campus Community:

Having a healthy community in which everyone can thrive is a top priority at Colorado College. As we move into the fall and winter months, we are committed to maintaining access to influenza and COVID vaccines while providing evidence based public health guidance to maintain safe campus environments.

Vaccine Opportunities

Collectively, studying and working on the Block Plan is more successful when we prioritize our health. Vaccination for easily transmissible viruses can reduce chances of contracting the virus and can reduce the length and severity of illness. The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment has released a public health order allowing all adults to receive the COVID vaccine, in addition to the influenza vaccine. CC will be hosting five on-campus opportunities for all students, faculty, and staff to receive these vaccines. Sign up for a date and time that is most convenient for your schedule.

We are also proud of a collaboration between the Fine Arts Center (FAC) and Health & Wellbeing, where we will be providing vaccines at the FAC on Friday, Sept. 26, as part of the opening day events for “Open Hearted," an exhibit examining the history, meaning, and contemporary realities of health care and wellbeing. Families of CC students, faculty, and staff are welcome at this event.

Please bring your insurance information with you to your appointment to receive free vaccines. We are unable to cover the cost for individuals without insurance.

Maintaining a Healthy Campus

Professionals in the Health & Wellbeing department continue to monitor campus for any potential high impact illnesses affecting our community. Communication will be sent out as necessary with recommendations to reduce or prevent illness on campus. Everyone is encouraged to practice good hand hygiene, wear a mask if you are feeling ill, and maintain good air flow in shared spaces, such as classrooms and living spaces.

With these strategies in place, we are confident CC will continue to be a space where we all can continue to be successful in pursuing our endeavors, supporting the safety and wellness of our community. For any questions, please email wellness@coloradocollege.edu.

In good health and with gratitude,
