Let's Connect with our Community

For the past year, creating more ways for students to build meaningful relationships with each other and the many members of our community has been the top priority of the SGA. I acknowledge it can be challenging to connect with professors or alumni whether it be because of tight schedules or a plethora of other reasons. However, I’ve always been so inspired as my friends and peers are so enthusiastic about building relationships with professors, alumni, staff, and obviously, students. It’s driven us in the SGA to thoughtfully design programs and events that create ways for students to connect with all the members of our community. Throughout the remainder of the semester and beyond I urge you to connect with all those in our community in meaningful and thoughtful ways.

Connect with Professors, Staff, and Alumni:

  1. Take Your Professor Out (TYPO): Have lunch with your professors or staff by requesting a voucher to take your professor out to Pi-Kitchen, our on-campus restaurant. Maybe you have a professor you know very well or are curious about who they are and want to learn more. Erin McGee, SGA’s Vice-President of Academic Affairs (emcgee@stevens.edu), serves as the point of contact for this program, feel free to send over ideas, feedback, and questions.
  2. Take an Alumni Out: Keep in touch with our alumni by joining the Take an Alumni Out program which also offers a voucher to Pi-Kitchen. Chat about careers, life, or anything else on your mind. Use this program to get in touch with our alumni. Michael Moschello, SGA’s Assistant VP for Alumni and Relations (mmoschel@stevens.edu), serves as the point of contact for this program Feel free to send over ideas, feedback, and questions.

Community Recognition:

We all can think of one teacher or educator in our lives who’s made a profound impact on who we are as young adults and students. Recognition is so important in building a supportive community where everyone feels they belong. Help us identify the professors and staff that go above and beyond to make your time at Stevens magical. The forms below collect nominations for impact awards and are due 10/23.

  1. Faculty (Professor) Impact Award Nominations
  2. Staff Impact Award Nominations
