Weekly Happenings
In light of the SNAP crisis, there is a need to help support the Martha O'Bryan Center Food Ministry. They are the busiest food bank in the city and have partnered with Second Harvest. Due to the location in public housing and close to Downtown, they are experiencing a high demand for food.

The cessation of SNAP food support will be dramatically escalated starting November 3, 2025. Here is how YOU can help:

• Drop off Donations: Bring food items from the list below to the food bank any day of the week, Monday - Friday,  from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

• Ship Directly to: Martha O'Bryan Center Attn: Tasha Cartwright711 South 7th St.  Nashville, TN 37206 615.254.1791.

• Donate Money: SHARE YOUR RESOURCES. All gifts designated for food relief will go toward shortages in the food pantry.

• Volunteer: We need YOU to volunteer your time by helping to stock shelves and prepare food boxes.

Please contact Toshi Boissiere at 615.254.1791 ext. 217 for volunteer opportunities.

If you are taking food directly to the food bank, the following items are in need:
Boxes of cereal, Peanut Butter, Loaves of Bread, Milk, refrigerated or shelf-stable, Soups, Ground beef, and Chicken.

If you are bringing food to the church, the following items are in need:
Proteins: Peanut butter, canned or dried beans, lentils, canned chicken, tuna

Whole Grains: Brown rice, whole-grain pasta, and whole-grain cereals or oats.

Canned Goods: Vegetables (preferably low-sodium), Fruits (packed in juice or water, not syrup), Soups, stews, and chilis (low-sodium)

Cooking Staples: Cooking oil, and spices like salt, pepper, and other dried herbs.

Healthy Snacks: Granola bars, nuts, and dried fruit (with no added sugar).

For more info, please contact Tom McDow, current Board member, Martha O'Bryan.
