Dear Tulane Community, To accommodate fans attending the home football game against SMU at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17 in Yulman Stadium, the workday on the uptown campus will end at 3:00 p.m. on Nov. 17, with the exception that all uptown classes will proceed as normal. All other campuses will observe normal operations.
Non-exempt employees who work on the uptown campus should clock out at the end of the abbreviated workday. Human Resources will adjust the end time in Kronos, so employees will receive pay for the full day. No action is necessary for exempt and student employees.
A limited number of parking passes will be given to faculty and students enrolled in Thursday evening classes on the uptown campus. Please use this form to request your parking pass. Digital passes will be emailed to those who request one prior to the game. To further assist with parking, those teaching or attending classes scheduled after 4 p.m. on game day are encouraged to get dropped off and picked up near the uptown campus, bike to campus, or take public transportation to campus.
Parking on Janet Yulman Way will be closed all day on Nov. 17. All vehicles, except those who have received special passes to park for evening classes, must be removed from campus at 4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17. All parking spaces, including those normally reserved "all hours" for parking permit holders and those in the Diboll Parking Garage, will be used for fan parking on game night. Students with residential parking permits will be required to park on the top two floors of the Diboll Garage. Tailgating hours will also be modified with drop-off of equipment starting at 4 p.m. and tailgating beginning at 4 p.m. Normal parking operations will resume two hours after the end of the game. This two-hour window will allow fans to leave campus safely and mitigate any traffic problems.
We greatly appreciate the spirit of cooperation of Tulane faculty, students and staff. Thank you for your patience, assistance and understanding as we look forward to another great game. Sincerely, Patrick J. Norton Senior Vice President & COO
