UCO Faculty and Staff Cheer on OKC Thunder |
Members of the Central community came together to cheer on the Oklahoma City Thunder as they went into game five of the Western Conference Finals. The Thunder have advanced to the NBA Finals, which will begin at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 5, in Oklahoma City. Hooves Up and Thunder Up!

| In Memorium: Beverly Thorsen |
Beverly Thorsen died May 20, at the age of 90. Thorsen was a professor in UCO's Department of Professional Teacher Education for 34 years before retiring in 2000. A viewing is scheduled for 10 a.m., today, May 30, with a funeral to follow at 11 a.m., at Smith and Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City.

UCO Softball's Terin Ritz and Rylee Lemos were recognized on the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America teams. Ritz made Second-Team at pitcher/utility, with Lemos making the Third-Team at outfield. Lemos was also named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Gold Glove team.
