Wisconsin Cover Crop Citizen Science Network
Join the farmer citizen science network and help create better information on the who, what, why, where and how of cover crops. This network helps provide insight to other farmers how cover crops can be integrated into a number of farming systems. 

Fill out a fall survey on your cover crop practices, receive a kit to collect and mail samples, receive a $100 stipend and FREE results on cover crop biomass, nutrient analysis and forage quality.

One Good Idea Shop Talks

Good Idea Shop Talks are where producers can exchange ideas and problem solve together about how to be good stewards while protecting profitability.

Beef x Dairy Management Workshop - Green Bay - July 29
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension, in cooperation with the UW-Madison Animal and Dairy Science Department, will be hosting four in-person Beef X Dairy-focused workshops from July 29 – August 1, 2024. These workshops will provide Wisconsin’s dairy producers and cattle feeders with research-based information on nutrition, feedlot management, and carcass composition for beef x dairy crossbred cattle.

Recognizing how complex and confusing the health insurance system can be—and how crucial health coverage is to people’s well-being—Covering Wisconsin helps Wisconsin residents navigate the system.
A program of UW-Extension and a free community resource, Covering Wisconsin has Health Insurance Navigators located within communities throughout the state who help people understand their options, compare plans, connect with programs that provide financial help, and sign up.  Farmers can get help understanding how being self-employed impacts their eligibility in programs and how to find affordable coverage.
