Summer at Okemo

Summer starts at Okemo in just a few weeks on June 17! At Jackson Gore, the Adventure Zone will be open and offering mini-golf, the challenge course, and the coaster. At the Clock Tower base, we will have scenic Sunburst Six rides, Mountain Road will be open for traffic, and mountain biking returns to the A/B quads!

All winter employees that are placed on Seasonal Inactive Status (SIS) are welcomed to Okemo to enjoy scenic chairlift rides with your season pass as a summer perk. We're looking forward to seeing you this summer!

With summer ramping up, we soon turn our attention back to winter again! In July we will be following up with more information for the season ahead and the pre-season timeline to help you start planning your winter with us. Chairlift Upgrades Continue

Our big chairlift transition project continues at Jackson Gore and where the Green Ridge Triple used to live. We have new chairlifts and bull wheels arriving to go in at Jackson Gore and lots of preparation work at the top of the old Quantum Four. You can follow Okemo Mountain Resort's Facebook page to see photo updates throughout the process.

Reach Your Peak!

As we prepare for summer across the Northeast, there are positions open at Okemo as well as our neighboring resorts across many departments. Check out the latest job openings here.

Snow on the Brain?

Do the recent warm temperatures have your mind drifting to snowier days? In Australia, they are just getting started and gearing up for winter with snowmaking and some natural in the mix. The webcam at Perisher shows snowmaking and a little dusting to get excited about!

How to Support Vermonters of Color: An Illustrated Guide

In August 2020, Vermont Public Radio (VPR) published Brave Little State's episode set out to answer the question, "How can a state that is 94% white do better?" Since the initial coverage, VPR has published an illustrated guide to share seven steps to support Vermonters of color with the voices of those interviewed in the initial podcast episode.

An Inclusive Approach to Hiring and Retaining Employees

Last week Snowsports Industries America (SIA) hosted a panel discussion on An Inclusive Approach to Hiring and Retaining Employees featuring Lynanne Kunkel, Chief Human Resources Officer, as the panel moderator, and Marc Fields, Vice President of Human Resources, as a panelist. The session also included leaders from Nike and Egon Zehnder and examined how different perspectives, experiences and skillsets foster creativity, innovation and more.
