I write to inform you that David Jewell, Senior Vice President of Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer, has resigned from his position effective today. Over the coming months, he will continue to advise and work remotely on special projects that will support our transition in Business Affairs.
David joined CSU in September 2021, and since that time has served a significant role at our University. I am thankful for David’s experience and contributions to the financial and operational areas of CSU as well as his leadership of a number of strategic projects within these units. Under David’s leadership, the Division of Business Affairs supported projects including the back-end logistics of our college realignment initiative and the creation of quarterly financial management reports, which provide much needed data to our senior leaders and fiscal officers. We were also able to develop and present to the Board of Trustees a master plan to address the needs of our campus community and facilities. This has all been foundational as we work to achieve organizational resilience and financial stability. I wish David the best in his future endeavors.
I also want to thank the offices within the Business Affairs Division for their continuing dedicated service to CSU and the students we serve. I am confident we will move through this transition without an interruption in that service.
I hope to announce an Interim Vice President of Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer shortly to assist us while we launch a national search for our next chief financial officer.
