Fake Book: The bipartisan No Fakes Act, which seeks a federal intellectual property right to protect against AI voice cloning and deepfakes, cleared the Senate Judiciary Committee today (6/18). "We are encouraged by today’s passage in the Senate Judiciary Committee and look forward to the bill’s passage into law later this year," says RIAA Chairman/CEO Mitch Glazier. It's TBA if/when the legislation will make it to the Senate floor.

Heart Of The Matter: Entersong Entertainment, the live event and entertainment company co-founded in 2022 by Nashville songwriter Rob Hatch, has entered into a strategic partnership with Get After It Media's The Heartland Network. The deal marks Entersong's first venture into original broadcast and streaming content, centered on the development and production of music-focused programming. Entersong is best known for producing the Las Vegas Songwriters Festival. Heartand Network programming includes Keith Stegall's High Dollar Hill and The Chuck Wicks Show.

Seventh Heaven: SiriusXM will launch a faith-based weekly show hosted by Tommy Wallen, father of Morgan Wallen, June 21. Tommy's Sunday Seven, featuring the elder Wallen's seven-minute devotionals, will air on Morgan Wallen Radio (ch. 64) and the SXM app Sundays at 9am (ET), with rebroadcasts throughout the day. Tommy already hosts the Family Tradition With Tommy Wallen feature on the channel, where he shares family memories, stories from his son's childhood and his proudest moments from Morgan’s life and career. |
