MyUTA, a one-stop destination for your UTA experience, is now live! Users can access frequently used tools, such as academic resources, UTA email, campus maps, and parking availability. MyUTA is hosted at my.uta.edu, which is the new way to find MyMav. There are no changes to the MyMav login process.

Mavericks, get ready to cheer on your regular season champions as the UTA volleyball team begins competing in the Western Athletic Conference at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at College Park Center. Bring your MavID to get in for free, and stop by Section 114 during UTA game times for a nacho bar that is open to the first 150 student fans.

Join a virtual workshop to learn about MavMatrix, UTA’s institutional repository and archival hub, Thursday, Nov. 21, 4-5 p.m. The session will cover the basics of MavMatrix, its purpose in preserving UTA’s historic and creative works, and how to navigate its resources.

This school year, each of the four residence halls on campus will take over the Maverick Dining cafes. Today, Tuesday, Nov. 19, Arlington Hall will take over Connection Cafe, and everyone on campus is invited to enjoy a personalized menu! Dig in from 5-9 p.m. Those with a meal plan can use a swipe for dinner, and all other guests will pay $10.89.

| Honors Research Symposium
|
The Honors Research Symposium is the culmination of months of hard work and dedication of honors students who have conducted undergraduate research in various disciplines. This semester’s poster presentations will be Friday, Nov. 22, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Rio Grande Ballroom of the University Center.

Apple sale at the bookstore

The bookstore is offering its best prices of the year on current Apple laptops, desktops, and tablets through Friday, Nov. 22, both in store and online. Light refreshments will be provided from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the days of the sale. Starbucks at the UTA Bookstore will have discounted drinks.

College of Education leadership update

Effective Jan. 1, 2025, Ann Cavallo, assistant vice provost and director of the Center for Research on Teaching and Learning Excellence, will assume the role of interim dean of the College of Education. Dr. Cavallo will shadow Tim Jacobbe for the remainder of his tenure as dean, which concludes Tuesday, Dec. 31. Read the full message from Provost Brown.

Effective immediately, Tanya Sudia, senior associate dean for nursing, has assumed the role of chief nursing officer. In addition, Dr. Sudia will assume the role of interim dean on Jan. 1, 2025. Dean Elizabeth Merwin will remain in her role through Tuesday, Dec. 31, working closely with Sudia to get her up to speed on these roles to ensure a seamless transition. In honor of Native American Heritage Month, the Street Eats station at Connection Cafe will feature traditional recipes Thursday, Nov. 21, 5-9 p.m. The Intercultural Student Programming Board, Native American Student Association, Intercultural Student Engagement Center, and Maverick Dining are coming together for this meal, which includes braised beef stew, wild rice pilaf, Indian fry bread, and canellini bean succotash. A meal swipe can be used for those who have meal plans, and all other guests can enjoy the buffet for $10.89.
