  SPRING COMMENCEMENT
We're celebrating three days of commencement from 8 a.m. Friday, May 12, through 4 p.m. Sunday, May 14. The College of Music ceremonies will take place in the Murchison Performing Arts Center, and all other ceremonies will be hosted in the UNT Coliseum, which has a clear bag policy and requires participants and guests to pass through a metal detector to enter. See the full schedule with links to the livestreams. A link to the virtual commencement experience for those who chose that option — online students and others who couldn't attend in person — will be added to the schedule page early Friday morning. Please note that traffic will be heavy, especially on the west side of campus.

Be sure to read the stories about some of this semester's Great Grads. They are a small sample of all the students who impress and inspire us every day!

If you RSVPed by May 8 for UNT Farewell Toast for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 graduates, say cheers to your academic success from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at the Alumni Pavilion. Bring up to two guests and enjoy live music, hors d’oeuvres and a special toast with our official UNT alumni wine (non-alcoholic options are available). Don’t forget to bring your student ID, and you must be 21 or older and present your government-issued ID to receive wine.

  FUTURE OF FASHION
For his senior collection inspired by nature, fashion design student Johnathan De La Cruz used all cotton fiber and natural dyes that decompose naturally to prevent polluting the environment. He's one of the many UNT faculty, students and alumni who are researching and experimenting with ways to reduce the toll fashion takes on the Earth and the people involved in its labor.
