July 2025
TRUE MAROONS
Thank You, Chicago Alumni!
A heartfelt thank you to the alumni who joined us for our inaugural event in the Windy City—the Fever watch party on July 27 at Theory Chicago. It was a fantastic afternoon filled with reconnections, new friendships, and Maroon pride.

We would like to extend a special thanks to current coaches Tom Wilson, Tim O’Neill and Kristin Meyer, as well as former coaches Bob and Sharon Hanson, for being part of the celebration. Once a Maroon, Always a Maroon!

Matthew Pierson '25, the recent Pax Christi award recipient, has joined the Biking for Babies national ride. Inspired by other Biking for Babies missionaries, Pierson will cycle over 600 miles this summer in support of InnerVisions Healthcare. This fall he will attend Loras College and St. Pius X Seminary.
Jennie Baranczyk '00 was selected as an assistant coach for the USA Women’s AmeriCup Team, representing the red, white and blue alongside head coach Kara Lawson (Duke) and fellow assistant DeLisha Milton-Jones (Old Dominion). The 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup took place June 28–July 6 in Santiago, Chile.
Eli Alger '15, frontman of Faster Horses, recently penned “The Flood,” a tribute inspired by his band’s Clay County Fair set following the devastating June 2024 Spencer flood. Watch the video on YouTube and find details on upcoming shows and more of his music online
