Orange County administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. All county offices will reopen with their normal hours of operation on Friday, June 20.

The Orange County Department of Social Services (DSS), in collaboration with the Orange Works Employment and Training Center, is proud to announce the Summer 2025 Job Fair and Recruitment Event, taking place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 113 Mayo Street, Hillsborough, NC.
With over 50 employers from across the Triangle region, this event is designed to connect job seekers with hiring organizations in a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, law enforcement, transportation, engineering, hospitality, and local and state government.

Orange County Board of Commissioners Approves FY2025-26 Budget |

The Orange County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the Fiscal Year 2025-26 (FY2025-26) budget during its June 17 business meeting, committing significant investments in education, behavioral health, housing and workforce support.
The adopted general fund budget totals $306.04 million, representing a 4% increase over the current year.

Climate Action Grant Applications Open |
The Community Climate Action Grant Program is dedicated to accelerating our Climate Action Plan strategies and encouraging community climate change mitigation actions in Orange County. All public and nonprofit entities are eligible to apply as well as small businesses with a maximum annual gross revenue of $3 million.
