It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I inform you of the untimely passing of Dr. Benjamin Mauck, an esteemed alumnus and beloved faculty member of the College of Medicine. Dr. Mauck served as an Assistant Professor and Director of Hand Fellowship in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Biomedical Engineering, where he made significant contributions to both patient care and academic excellence.
Dr. Mauck was an exceptional orthopaedic surgeon, and his dedication to delivering his patients the highest standard of care was evident in every interaction. As a teacher and mentor, Dr. Mauck played a vital role in shaping the next generation of medical professionals. He was deeply committed to our students' education and development, sharing his vast knowledge and experience with enthusiasm and compassion. His guidance inspired countless aspiring surgeons to pursue excellence in their careers.
The loss of Dr. Mauck is deeply felt by our entire community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he has touched.
