Athletic Hall of Fame
Dowling Catholic's 2024 Athletic Hall of inductees were recognized during a ceremony at DCHS and at the homecoming football game on October 27, 2024. Congratulations to Christen Klimisch Bliss '96, Thomas Donahue '75, Jonathan Flepke '13, Jake Hummel '17*, Caitlyn (Fuller) Parrott '11, Isaiah Patton '15, Jackson Teeling '09 and John Waggoner '18. *Pictured is Levi Hummel who accepted the award on Jake's behalf. 
The Dowling Catholic Alumni Band came together for a reunion during homecoming weekend. Former band and color guard members performed with the current DCHS band during the first half of the football game and solo during the second half. The group included one priest and alumni ranging from the Class of 1972 to the Class of 2024. Once a Maroon, Always a Maroon!  
The SJA Class of 1964 recently gathered at Dowling Catholic for coffee and pastries during their reunion weekend.  Thanks to all who joined us!  
The Classes of 2004 and 1984 held their respective reunions last weekend. Thanks to Fr. Ryan Andrew '04 and Fr. Dan Kirby '84 for celebrating Mass on Sunday in the chapel!
Lessing-Flynn has been named a Top Workplace in Iowa by the Des Moines Register for the sixth straight year, finishing sixth in the small business category (under 150 employees). Congratulations to LF President and CEO Tom Flynn '87 on this recognition. 
Karissa Schweizer ‘14 recently competed in the New Balance 5th Avenue Mile, the most iconic road mile race in the world stretching 20 blocks down Fifth Avenue. In the Pro Women’s Mile, Schweizer came out on top, finishing the race with a time of 4:14.8. Congratulations!
Former Hawkeye John Waggoner '18 and former Cyclone Blake Clark '18 have joined the KCCI Big College Kickoff broadcast team as expert football analysts for Big College Kickoff. Tune in on Saturday mornings at 10:30 am!
