Shoot for the Stars, Graduates!
Western Iowa Networks wishes the best to all of this year's graduates in our community. We applaud your achievements so far and encourage you to keep moving forward toward the life of your dreams. There's a whole galaxy to explore! If you have lived near Arcadia, Iowa for any length of time, you have likely attended an event at the Arcadia Legion Hall. This great venue was in need of a new roof which they recently had replaced. We were able to be a part of this project by making a donation towards the replacement cost. We have also been able to help many projects in the communities we serve through the Aureon Charity Grant Program. If your community has a project coming up that they are raising funds for, please consider applying for this grant. You can find complete details here. |
Employees Hit Milestones in May
We have 2 employees hitting big milestones with WIN this month. Outside Plant Administrator Doug Ehlers celebrated 40 years and Plant Manager Mike Ludwig celebrated 30 years! Our IT Manager Brian Pottebaum also celebrated 19 years this month, Director of Operations Chris Nieland 18 years, Combination Technician Mark Slectha 11 years and Client Experience Specialist Pam Towne and Sales Consultant Shawnell Rush both finished up their first year with WIN. Congratulations! Have questions on how to operate your smartphone or tablet? We partner with the Carroll Public Library to help you out. Bring your questions to the library the 4th Friday of each month from 10-11am. You do not need to be a UScellular customer. We look forward to seeing you. |
Fiber Being Installed in Glenwood
Construction is underway in the city of Glenwood, Iowa. Over the past few years we have constructed fiber in most of Mills County but will now add Glenwood as a fiber connected community. Construction will continue through 2024 and we are urging customers to sign up now so crews can construct the fiber drop to their homes while they are in the area. We recently held a sign up event at Keg Creek Brewing with the help of the Mills County Chamber. The event was very well attended. If you know of someone who lives in Glenwood who has not yet signed up, you can refer them and you will both receive a $50 bill credit. You can see a map of the areas within our project here. We are also expanding our fiber footprint into Southeast Council Bluffs. Crews are working hard to bring fiber connectivity to the areas outlined in the following map. Again, take advantage of our referral program if you know of folks in these areas. It's a great way to spread the word and save on your bill! |
