Mavs claim No. 1 seed in WAC Tournament
|
UTA volleyball claimed its 14th consecutive win on Saturday, with a 3-0 victory over the Utah Valley Wolverines at College Park Center. The victory marks the Mavericks' 16th sweep of the season and has earned them the title of Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Regular Season Champions. UTA will host the WAC volleyball tournament Nov. 21-23 and will play at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at College Park Center. Students will be admitted for free with their MavID.

Student aims to help veterans avoid health issues

Tim Eastep, a veteran pursuing his doctorate in bioengineering at UTA, founded T7 Biotech, a research and development company aimed at building devices to reduce the stress and strain on military members' bodies.

Launching Nov. 18, MyUTA is a one-stop destination for your UTA experience! Users can access frequently used tools, such as academic resources, UTA email, campus maps, and parking availability. MyUTA will be hosted at my.uta.edu, which will be the new way to find MyMav. There will be no changes to the MyMav login process.

The application for the spring 2025 Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program and Undergraduate Research Assistant Program is open until Friday, Nov. 15. These programs allow students of all majors to gain hands-on research experience working with faculty and research mentors on meaningful projects. Participating students will receive a $1,500 stipend for their involvement.

Apple sale at the bookstore

The bookstore will offer its best prices of the year on current Apple laptops, desktops, and tablets Nov. 18-22, both in store and online. Light refreshments will be provided daily from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the days of the sale. Starbucks at the UTA Bookstore will have discounted drinks.

New look for the UTA print center

Beginning Friday, Nov. 15, you will see a new look when you log into the UTA Print Center. Instead of the gold Pharos logo and colors, you will notice UTA branding on the login screen and the main print screen. This will not impact how you access the system or print your documents. If you have any concerns, contact ATSoftware@uta.edu.
