TCE announces streamlined eForm processing
|
The Office of Talent, Culture, and Engagement (TCE) has updated the process for eForms for employees applying for a Social Security Number (SSN). In collaboration with Payroll and the Office of Information Technology, TCE made a change that now allows the office to process eForms for those who have applied for but not yet received their SSN. When submitting the eForm, you can include either the accurate SSN or all "X"s if the SSN application is still pending and attach the SSN Application Receipt from the Social Security Administration. While this change impacts all employees, it was driven by the Student Employment Revamp project to address inequities in the hiring process, particularly ensuring international students have fewer obstacles when starting their employment.
