📢 Identity Management Change: September 5, 2025

As part of Encompass and preparations to retire SAP, the university is transitioning to Fischer Identity Management (IdM), a leading cloud-based identity and access solution. This transition is essential to support our new enterprise systems, including Banner and Workday, while enhancing security and user experience.

The transition will begin on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. and continue through the weekend. During this period, password updates will not be possible.

The change to Fischer is not expected to be disruptive and will ultimately make password management and recovery easier for the entire campus community.

Be on the lookout for an Encompass Need to Know Now in the coming days!

What’s the difference between MVP and Optimize?

Minimum Viable Product (MVP) refers to the baseline version of the system that includes the essential modules and configurations needed to go live and support day-one operations.

Optimize comes after go-live and focuses on enhancements—refining the user experience, adding features, and expanding capabilities to better support institutional goals.

We are embracing this "MVP to Optimize" approach to help ensure a successful transition to Workday and Banner.
