Thinking about working in the U.S. after you graduate?
International students (on F-1 status) can apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT) for off-campus work authorization to gain experience in their major field of study after completion of program requirements.
ISSS staff will present information about the OPT process at an upcoming online info session on Wednesday, April 19 from 12-1pm.
|
If you are planning on an internship during your studies, review information on Curricular Practical Training (CPT). Reminder that you should submit your CPT request to ISSS at least 3 or more weeks prior to your employment start date.
Note: International students are not permitted to engage in any off-campus work without first obtaining authorization. Work means receiving compensation for your services. Off-campus means any entity that is not Miami University.
