Our 2026 Convention was wonderful. A time shared by sisters from across the Northeast District. A time of prayer, learning and celebration. A time to delve into spirituality through inspiring services and workshops filled with music and prayer. A time to learn more about social justice initiatives both here and in Israel and how technology can connect us effectively. A time to work together to create post-abortion care bags for the Nechama Project and to raise money for the YES Fund. And a time to connect to each other and to Sisterhood as we shared meals, attended workshops and sang with Berkalit.

Toda rabah to all the committees that worked hard to bring about this wonderful event. Extra special thanks to our convention tri-chairs: Lani Dunthorn, Suzy Gelman, and Gail Lustig who led and coordinated the planning.

Congratulations to our incoming Executive Committee members! We are fortunate that so many want to help direct the WRJ Northeast District. Special congratulations to our new District President, Marsha Moller.

A big thank you to our outgoing EC members including our immediate past president, Yvette Bergman. Their hard work and dedication are examples of what makes us so strong.

Join the Sisterhood of B'nai Torah of Southbury, CT, for a special event, "Havdalah Under the Stars" of Israel's night sky. It will take place at Sacred Heart University's Planetarium in Bridgeport, CT. This event is supported in part by a WRJ Microgrant.

It is never too late to plan a "Day of Action" for your sisterhood. Any date works when you engage in chesed (acts of loving kindness) and tikkun olam (repairing the world). Check out Program in a Box to easily organize your event. Join WRJ members and supporters across North America and choose a project of interest to you or your group or in alignment with WRJ’s high priority issues and take action in your own community.

at no cost to your sisterhood.
