UTA's student success strategy earns national acclaim

UTA has been recognized nationally for its commitment to student success and economic mobility, being named a winner in the inaugural Postsecondary Success Recognition Program, a U.S. Department of Education initiative. UTA was one of only three bachelor’s degree–granting institutions across the nation to receive this recognition, and the only one that also grants master’s and doctoral degrees.

Former football stars Raymond "Wings" Matthews and Joe Ron Young, men's basketball standout Anthony Vereen, the 2001 and 2002 volleyball teams, and the 2007-08 men's basketball team have been selected for the UTA Athletics Hall of Honor. The Hall of Honor class of 2025 will be inducted at a special ceremony Saturday, March 1, at the Crowne Plaza in Arlington at 6 p.m.

Green event certification

The Office of Sustainability is excited to announce the launch of its green event certification. This certification is available to any department organizing events with more than 50 attendees. It provides event organizers with guidance on hosting environmentally responsible events, with a focus on minimizing waste and maximizing energy efficiency. Learn more and apply.

Charity dodgeball tournament

The 2025 TMAC Dodgeball Charity Tournament will be held Tuesday, April 1, at College Park Center. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Mark Sessumes Graduate Fellowship, a scholarship that supports UTA graduate students who are passionate about advancing U.S. manufacturing. |
Submit artwork, poems, short stories, short research papers, and music to Stimulus, a medical humanities journal. Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and Arlington residents are encouraged to submit to Stimulus. The deadline to submit is Saturday, Feb. 1.
