EXPLORE Costa Rica

“For the glory of God, we have witnessed an awakening in the hearts of leaders, servants, and even young people, who today are not only challenged in their service but also in their walk with Him.”

These are the words of a leader involved in Costa Rica’s first Explore.

From 27 to 29 March 2026, the first "Explore" camp, formerly known as the Cross-cultural Orientation Camp (CCO), was held in the Costa Rica North District. Twenty-nine young people and leaders from Costa Rica North and Costa Rica Central Districts participated, along with a delegation of four participants from Nicaragua.

The communications coordinators, the regional NMI coordinator, and the Missions Mobilization coordinator for the Central Field lent their support and leadership.

The camp featured workshops and activities that focused on missions around the world and the need for laborers for the harvest.

The coordinator of Missions Mobilization for the district, Elba Duson, played a very important role in the development of this Explore event. She shared about the experience of working with her district team and the leaders from the central area:

“Personally, Explore is an event that marked my life when I participated, so leading its implementation in my own country had a very special meaning. Saying ‘yes’ to this first event was easy because it was God himself who placed in my heart the desire to be a part of it.

“During this time, my expectations were truly exceeded. The Lord guided every step, multiplying time, resources, and ideas. Likewise, He surrounded me with an extraordinary team, with experience, testimony, and a deep passion for serving, but above all, with a genuine desire to be a blessing to our local church.

“We believe that great things are coming for Costa Rica, and we long to be part of what God will continue to do.”

We are confident that the seed sown will not fall in vain and that the Lord will raise a generation of workers willing to serve him fervently.
