TSS status, progress, weekly highlights and more!
This initial release of TSS is focused on delivering the core capabilities needed to support Fall 2026. As with any major system launch, you may encounter limitations, workarounds or functionality that continues to evolve as the system stabilizes. The TSS team is actively reviewing reported issues and prioritizing fixes that affect critical university operations, so please use one of the established TSS support channels to ensure your request is tracked and directed to the right team. To access TSS, ensure you have been approved via the access request form and log in via sis.ucsd.edu.

- Important Reminder about Dropping Courses in TSS: Once a student clicks the Drop button in TSS, the action is immediate. Students do not receive a warning, and TSS will not prompt them to confirm.
-
Specializations Request App Release: While the team expected to launch the application this week, more time is needed. This app will replace the legacy undergraduate Major/Minor tool (MMT) and the graduate Change Major/Degree Aim tool. More information will be shared once it is available.
-
Open Known Issues as of October 22:
-
Booking: Students in language courses are unable to change their grading option. Students are getting an error message that they do not meet the prerequisites when they try to change it.
- General: Students are being redirected to TSS when trying to log into MyTritonLink to view Academic History or Degree Audit.
-
Resolved Triton Enrollment Authorization (TEA) Known Issues:
- Instructor names now populate correctly when students submit a TEA request.
-
Undergraduate students no longer need to submit a TEA request to drop a class and can now self-drop.

|
|
|
- Extended Studies (DES) Accounts Receivable (AR): DES AR data was loaded into TSS earlier this week. The DES team is now reviewing and validating the data for accuracy. Congratulations to all who supported the launch of this milestone!
-
Celebrate a Colleague: Shine a spotlight on a colleague who’s making an impact on the TSS Project! Do you know someone making an impact on the TSS Project? Submit a nomination and help us celebrate the people moving TSS forward.

- Triton Enrollment Authorization (TEA) Updates: Late Adds/Changes/Drops are live! You can read the full details in this article. Here are a few highlights:
-
Late Adds: Students can request late adds to classes through week 10. Once approved in TEA, students still need to book the course in TSS.
-
Graduate students and scholar-athletes: Need to submit drop and change (units and grading options) requests through TEA for approval after the add deadline. Once approved in TEA, changes are processed automatically and no further action is needed from the student.
-
All other students: Can drop courses and change units/grading options directly through TSS booking. TEA requests are only needed for Special Studies unit changes.
- Staff Training: Reviewing and Processing TEA Requests Job Aid.
- Project Leadership & Student Collaboration: Since August 19, TSS Project leadership has partnered with Associated Students (AS) and the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) to hear directly from student representatives about student experiences and concerns.
- The Selection Methods and Variants Job Aid is published! Staff can now access this guide to build targeted groups of students for bulk actions and reporting in TSS.
-
SIS Trailblazers: We are proud to highlight Karen Fisher as an SIS Trailblazer! To learn more about Karen’s contribution to the TSS Project, visit the SIS Trailblazer website to read her nomination story.
