Long-term Goals: Planning for Your Future |
As you plan for your future, empower yourself by setting S.M.A.R.T. goals that put you in the driver’s seat of your journey.
The S.M.A.R.T. goals approach brings a clear and focused vision to your future. S.M.A.R.T. goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
|
- Specific – Specify how you will accomplish your goal.
-
Measurable – Establish requirements for achieving your goal and determine how you can measure your progress.
- Attainable – Ensure that your goal is realistic and action-oriented.
- Relevant – Ensure that your goal is addressing your needs.
-
Time-bound – Setting a deadline is crucial. It creates a sense of urgency and helps you stay focused on your goal. Allow a reasonable amount of time to accomplish the goal; breaking up your goal into smaller tasks and deadlines can increase attainability.
