SUMMER MISSION TRIPS
For this year’s High School Summer Advocacy/Mission Experience, we will be partnered with The North GA Conference of the UMC and Candler School of Theology! There, we will have an impactful opportunity to engage with Dr. Brian Tillman and glean from the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion work that he does in an interactive way. We’ll immerse ourselves in problems our world still faces through activities, advocacy training, service assignments, and a walk through major civil rights landmarks in Selma, Montgomery, and Atlanta.

The deadline for registration and $400 payment will be Wednesday, May 10 (or when all spots are filled). A deposit & deadline is required for this to provide final counts for lodging and to secure transportation.

*** YOU'RE INVITED! ***

Our High Schoolers are preparing for our summer mission experience by taking time during Sunday Night HIGHPOINT to learn from our St. Luke's Missions Team and The Poverty Solutions Group through a series of training, simulations, and deep discussions on poverty, diversity and inclusion, and advocacy... and you as a parent are invited and encouraged to join in.
  • The Cost of Poverty Experience - April 23 from 5:30-8:30 ($10 fee)
Contact Brandon with questions and for more info. bsangster@st.lukes.org
For this year’s Middle School Summer Advocacy/Mission Experience, we will be partnered with Keep Pinellas Beautiful! There, we will have an impactful opportunity to engage in their mission of “taking care of creation” in an interactive way. We’ll immerse ourselves in problems facing our shorelines and planet through activities and service assignments.

The deadline for registration and $275 payment will be Wednesday, May 10 (or when all spots are filled). A deposit & deadline is required for this to provide final counts for lodging and to secure transportation.

We’re looking for volunteers to come out and help with painting, wall building, wrapping, drywall, landscaping, caulking, cabinet/flooring installation, roofing work or other construction activities. Your service to build homes means transforming a blighted neighborhood into a thriving neighborhood and promoting the legacy of homeownership for these families for generations to come.
Volunteers must be 17 or older.
All tools and instructions are provided. No construction experience is necessary — you may even pick up a new skill or two while you partner with other St. Lukers to make a difference for families in our community.
Come out and spend a Saturday giving back with Habitat for Humanity!

Join us for this unique cultural lunch for a great cause!
St. Luke’s is hosting a Sri Lankan fundraiser lunch to support the incredible ministry of Evan Fernando, a St. Luke’s youth. He single-handedly provided meals for Sri Lankans across the country with funds he raised. His original goal was to feed 1,000 hot lunches to those in Sri Lanka. In less than 3 months, he doubled that goal.
Now, his goal is to provide 10,000 hot meals in Sri Lanka, 10 folding what he was originally planning to do.
