WAC Basketball Tournament

Join us March 6-11, in Las Vegas for the WAC Basketball Tournament. Our men's and women's teams will both compete in the tourney, and we need you there to cheer them on! Stop by the SUU Fan Zone in the Orleans Arena Concourse one hour prior to each SUU game for food, drinks, prizes, and SUU swag. Go T-Birds!

We invite you to participate in Founders Week, March 27-31, as we pay tribute to our first founders who sacrificed to build our beloved alma mater, and also recognize modern-day founders who devote themselves to the continued growth of SUU.

Affordable College Recognition

SUU prioritizes the financial well-being of students by providing one of the most affordable tuition prices in the state of Utah, and we have received special recognition for those efforts by being inducted as a Colleges of Distinction Affordable Institution.

Take Me Out to the Ballpark!

Enjoy a night at the ballpark with your Thunderbird family on Friday, May 12, at the Las Vegas Ballpark, and Saturday, June 24, at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake City. Both games include dinner, game ticket, and fireworks. Tickets are on sale now for the Las Vegas Aviators, and watch for ticket information for the Salt Lake Bees.

Professor Awarded Fulbright Fellowship

Dr. Jacqualine Grant, associate professor of geosciences, museum curator, and published scientific illustrator, received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award to conduct conservation biology teaching and research in New Zealand. Dr. Grant is the first faculty in the College of Sciences and first female recipient from SUU.

Workplace Ready Training for Alumni

The SUU Community & Professional Development department is offering no-cost training to alumni and their employees through Workplace Ready courses, which are all online and available to Utah residents. Courses target two in-demand industries: Tourism & Hospitality, and Computer Technology. Limited seats, so apply by March 31.
