This initial release of TSS is focused on delivering the core capabilities needed to support Fall 2026. As with any major system launch, you may encounter limitations, workarounds or functionality that continues to evolve as the system stabilizes. The TSS team is actively reviewing reported issues and prioritizing fixes that affect critical university operations, so please use one of the established TSS support channels to ensure your request is tracked and directed to the right team. To access TSS, ensure you have been approved via the access request form and log in via sis.ucsd.edu.

The My Class List report now includes waitlisted students. Data refreshes nightly. In the future, the TSS Project team will release a live version of this report in TSS. This report is only available to instructors who are listed as the primary instructor for the course.
- View the Get Started Blink page to receive an introduction to Student Operational Reporting including accessing and navigating student reports.
-
Waitlists Positions: Waitlist positions are now correctly displaying in the Schedule of Classes (SoC). However, the SoC may show open seats in a class that is actually full. Students are encouraged to stay on the waitlist instead of dropping to try to book. Students should only drop from a waitlist if their department has approved a waitlist bypass and instructs the student to do so.
-
Booked & Waitlisted Courses: If a student is waitlisted and booked in the same course, they must drop one of them. Students will not be moved off the waitlist if they are already booked in the course.
-
Triton Enrollment Authorization (TEA) Update: Unit Limit Exceptions are live for Graduate students as of September 17 and will be live for Undergraduate students on September 28. Staff can view additional guidance in the Reviewing and Processing TEA Requests job aid.
-
Confirming Students’ Course Bookings: The Office of the Registrar sent emails this week to undergraduate and graduate students, preparing them for Fall Quarter. This included confirming their course bookings in TSS and submitting a support ticket for any outstanding booking issues.

Faculty resources were also provided as well as an update on submitting TSS improvement ideas.
- Waitlists & TEA Approvals: There’s new guidance on Booking Courses with TSS once a student's TEA course has been approved. Students must leave the waitlist first before booking their course.
-
TSS Faculty FAQ: A NEW living resource providing a central location for faculty-relevant information, common questions, and answers that will be updated as TSS evolves over the fall quarter.
-
TSS Fall 2026 Slide for Students: This slide has important reminders for students related to the TSS transition. Faculty were asked to please present/share this slide with their students this week. Staff are also welcome to use this slide as needed to circulate this important information with students.
