These communications are voluntary and unpaid.

Good afternoon, Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard School Team,

We have made the difficult decision to close Beaver Creek Resort after Sunday, March 29, 2026. Please take a moment to read the message below from Beaver Creek’s VP & COO, Bobby Murphy, for additional context.

The good news is that the Ski and Snowboard School will continue to operate beyond the resort closure. We will still offer both group and private lessons, ensuring our guests can continue to experience the exceptional instruction and service you provide.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Most lessons will take place at Vail Mountain, with our Beaver Creek pros guiding guests there on Ski and Snowboard School dedicated transportation.
  • 3-4 yr old half-day lessons will continue to operate in The Yard at Beaver Creek.
  • Children’s and Adult Group lessons will meet daily at our Group Lesson Center.
  • Private lessons will meet at the Arrabelle skating rink in Lionshead, Vail.

Please also review the guest communication below, which outlines what our guests will receive regarding this transition.

As we pivot our plans to continue delivering unforgettable skiing and riding experiences, we are grateful to be able to offer our team continued work opportunities, even after the resort closes. Your flexibility, professionalism, and dedication mean a great deal during this time.  Please remain in close communication with your schedules, supervisors and managers as we move forward together.

Thank you for everything you do for our guests and for one another.

Warm regards,

Robin Barnes

Beaver Creek Team -

I want to personally thank each of you for the extraordinary effort, professionalism, and heart you’ve brought to Beaver Creek this season.

Due to sustained warm temperatures and limited snowfall, we’ve made the decision to close Beaver Creek earlier than planned, with our final day of operations now set for Sunday, March 29. This was not an easy decision, and it came only after careful consideration of mountain conditions, safety, and our responsibility to operate thoughtfully.

What makes this moment especially meaningful is how much you all have given this season. From early mornings and long days to adapting to changing conditions with positivity and care, your commitment to our guests, to one another, and to the mountain has been nothing short of remarkable. Because of you, Beaver Creek continued to deliver the exceptional experience our guests expect, even in a challenging season.

We still want to come together to celebrate with you and our end-of-season party is still on. We’re looking forward to taking the time to recognize the hard work, dedication, and teamwork that made this season possible. You’ve more than earned it! Unfortunately, given the conditions, we will not be able to host Splashdown or skiing/riding. However, please join us for a celebration in Beaver Creek Village on Monday, March 30th from 11am-1pm. There will be food, drinks, music, and giveaways. More information will be shared soon from the Street Team.

While it’s always bittersweet to close earlier than planned, I’m incredibly proud of how we’ve showed up, supporting one another, caring for the mountain, and embodying what makes Beaver Creek special.

Thank you again.

Communications that our guests receive:

Good afternoon,

We’re reaching out regarding your upcoming lessons at Beaver Creek. While we always hope for a long and snowy spring, Mother Nature has had other plans. Due to continued warm weather conditions, we’ve made the difficult decision to move Beaver Creek’s Closing Day to Sunday, March 29, 2026.

The good news? Your mountain experience will continue seamlessly.

Our Beaver Creek team has been working closely with our wonderful colleagues at Vail Mountain to ensure your time on snow remains exceptional. We will still be meeting all group lessons at Beaver Creek at 9AM and then transferring everyone to Vail Mountain, just a short ride away, so you can continue your lessons and enjoy fantastic spring conditions without missing a beat.

Private lessons will have a transportation option through our complementary buses, but if you prefer to drive yourself, please make sure to arrive in Vail at the Arrabelle Ice Rink in Lionshead Village. Additional information can be found below.

We completely understand that a change like this can be disappointing, and we’re truly grateful for your flexibility and for the passion our guests bring to the mountains. Your energy, enthusiasm, and love for Beaver Creek are what make our community so special.

Please note: To ensure a smooth transfer to Vail Mountain, we kindly ask that you meet your instructor promptly at 9:00 AM. Arriving on time allows us to coordinate transportation and lesson logistics for the day. If you arrive late, we may not be able to guarantee your transfer.

If you have any questions or need assistance with this transition, our team is always happy to help. We look forward to seeing you on the mountain soon.
