Student organizations are invited to participate in the inaugural IUP Philanthropy Cup this November.

The two-week event aims to raise awareness about the importance of student philanthropy at IUP and supports fundraising for the Student Assistance Fund.
Registration for your student organization should be completed on Crimson Connect by November 1, 2025. Thanks to the generosity of Col. Stephen Abel ’72 and Thomas Baker ’05, up to $5,000 in prize money will be awarded to top-performing student groups, with an additional $5,000 donated directly to the Student Assistance Fund. Email iup-giving@iup.edu or student-philanthropy@iup.edu for further information regarding registration or questions.

🔔Take a Study Break: Self-Care at IUP Libraries |
IUP Libraries supports your well-being with programs and resources for self-care. Join “Calming Crafts with Therapy Dogs International” and unwind while crafting and spending time with friendly pups. Therapy dog visits are scheduled for Tuesdays at 3:00 p.m. on the following dates: September 16, October 14, November 11, and December 9 (during Finals Week). Stop by, relax, and recharge!

🦎Study Abroad in Honduras |
Are you interested in studying abroad? We are pleased to announce the Summer 2026 faculty-led study abroad program: Advanced Tropical Field Biology: Biodiversity of Guanaja. After our successful programs in 2022, 2023, and 2024, we will return to the Bay Islands of Honduras in Summer II 2026, with a focus on the island of 📍Guanaja, off the northern Caribbean coast. Did you know that Degree Works is a web-based tool that helps you monitor your progress towards graduation? This tool displays all the requirements you still need to complete in order to graduate, as well as those you have already fulfilled. You can create a plan for future semesters and use the “What-if” option if you are considering changing your program of study.

| 🏅Recognizing Senior Athletes This Weekend |
IUP Athletics will celebrate seniors at three games tomorrow, Saturday, November 1! The first will be the women’s soccer team against California at 📍South Campus Field at noon. Next, at the IUP football game against Gannon, IUP will honor the seniors on the football team, in the band, and on the dance team at 2:00 p.m. at 📍Miller Stadium. Lastly, the Crimson Hawks volleyball team has a huge contest against Gannon at 6:00 p.m. in the 📍KCAC, where its seniors will be recognized. Talons Up!

Join IUP and the Indiana Regional Medical Center for this statewide event on Thursday, November 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the 📍KCAC, which brings together health professionals, educators, policymakers, and community leaders to discuss the challenges and innovations shaping rural healthcare.
