2024 Christmas Eve Offering
Any offering money collected on Christmas Eve will support the ministry of Team Brownsville.
Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. – Matthew 25:40
A message from Team Brownsville:
Team Brownsville was formed in 2018 at a moment in our US history when children were being forcibly separated from their parents on entering the US immigration system. Our eyes and hearts were opened to the needs of families and individuals who came to our border seeking humanitarian protection.
For over six years, we have provided food and clothing, tents and bedding, hygiene items, and infant supplies in Brownsville to those entering the US with humanitarian parole and to those still waiting in Matamoros/Reynosa to begin their asylum process.
Our biggest expenses are providing food for the Pumarejo migrant shelter/encampment in Matamoros, Mexico and providing food, tickets, and clothing in Brownsville. Our funding comes through the support of private individuals and organizations/religious congregations. Our monthly expenses are about $25,000.
We only exist for one purpose: to bring dignity and humanity to asylum seekers going through the legal process as set forth by the US government. We invite you to join us in our ministry. Learn more: https://www.teambrownsville.org/
To donate online, designate your gift as “Team Brownsville” when you give to the General Budget: https://www.shelbygiving.com/App/Giving/well6200166
