Pray for President Scott Rich. Pray for him as the Lord leads your heart and thoughts.

October 2
Pray for Montreat College in North Carolina and Erskine College in South Carolina. Their campuses received significant damage from Hurricane Helene.

October 3
Pray for all open positions on campus. Ask the Lord to lead the right person to each of the open jobs on campus.

October 4
Pray that thousands of alumni and friends are moved to pray for Sterling College.

October 5
Enrollment services is busy recruiting students for the fall of 2025. Ask the Lord to allow Sterling College to find favor in the hearts, minds, and lives of prospective students and their parents 

October 6
Scripture focus: Philippians 1:9-10 "And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ."

October 7
Pray for all SC faculty that they will clearly and naturally integrate biblical truth into their subject matter.

October 8
Thank the Lord for His unending, undying, unyielding love, grace, and mercy.

October 9
Ask the Lord to wrap His hedge of protection around, above, and beneath the Sterling College community.

October 10
With the increase in utilities, food service, insurance, technology, and government regulations the college is experiencing significant cost increases. Pray that hearts are moved to generously give to Sterling College so that the work and mission of SC can be fulfilled.

October 11
Today men's and women's tennis teams play at Newman University in Wichita. The volleyball team will also be in Wichita competing against Friends. Pray that all SC student-athletes compete and represent Sterling well.

October 12
Pray for alumni and friends that are considering including Sterling College in their will or estate. Pray they would be led to make provisions for Kingdom building in the ministry and mission of the college.


October 13
Scripture focus: I Corinthians 2:14 "The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit."

October 14
Praise God for the many opportunities for fellowship on this campus, and pray that students would continue to pursue Godly relationships.

October 15
Coaches can have a significant impact on their student-athletes. Pray for all the coaches on campus that they will be Godly examples to all our students.

October 16
Pray for the safety of the campus community throughout this academic year. Ask the Lord to provide safety on campus, safety while traveling, safety while competing, and safety in relationships.

October 17
Please pray for the Criminal Justice program at Sterling College. This is a growing academic department and has broad impact on campus.

October 18
Today, please pray for those who are lonely, or missing loved ones. Pray for God's perfect peace and joy to fill their hearts and thoughts.


October 19
Pray for the Warrior football team as they travel to Hillsboro today to compete against Tabor. Pray for safe travel, good sportsmanship, and that the Warriors play to the best of their ability.

October 20
Scripture focus: Psalm 51:10 "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."

October 21
Pray for all alumni, students, faculty, and staff who celebrate a birthday in October. Ask the Lord to bless their special day.

October 22
Pray for the President's Cabinet as they meet today. Ask the Lord to be present in their meeting and to give each Cabinet member wise discernment and clear thoughts.

October 23
Ask the Lord to move in the hearts and minds of alumni who have children planning on going to college. May the Lord encourage parents and students to visit SC and to strongly consider Sterling as an option.

October 24
Simply take time today to reflect on what is true, what is noble, what right, what is pure, what is lovely, what is admirable...if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.

October 25
We are one week out from our 2nd annual Founder's Day: Day of Giving. Two very generous donors have combined to offer a $100,000 matching challenge. Pray that many, many donors choose to take advantage of this opportunity to double their gift to SC. Today is also the birthday of Board of Trustee member, Dwight Nichols '80 . Thank the Lord for Dwight and his service to SC.

October 26
Thank God that the Board of Trustees, President Rich, and the Cabinet are committed to leading SC in missional purity and biblical fidelity.

October 27
Scripture focus: Psalm 121:1-2 "I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." 

October 28
Pray for new Director of Facilities Jeff Reece as he continues to adjust to all the details of ensuring the physical plant of SC runs smoothly.


October 29
Thank God for His faithfulness to Sterling College since 1887.

October 30
Randy Henry '72, has served Sterling College in many ways over the years. He currently is the Chair of the Board of Trustees. Today is also his birthday. Thank the Lord for Randy and lift him in prayer today.

October 31
Tomorrow, November 1 is the second annual Day of Giving, recognizing the day the college opened its doors in 1887. Pray for many to be moved to generously give to further the mission and work of Sterling College. There is a $100,000 matching challenge in place. Each gift to the Sterling Fund will be matched up to $100,000.
